COVID-19 Policy

This page explains the working practices and policies I am operating during the COVID-19 pandemic. This information is provided so you can be fully informed and assured that I am minimising risk during this extraordinary time. This information is based on the latest guidelines from the UK Government website.

Travel & Transport

Travel is presently permitted for tradespeople. I have my own sanitised transport and will never take public transport to your property

Work At Your Property

As a tradesperson, my work falls under the category of infrastructure and construction and is therefore permitted to continue.

Where possible, I may to undertake some of your job at my own private workshop premises (e.g. fabrication, material handling, preparation work) to keep our contact time to a minimum.

Testing, Face Mask & Social Distancing

As a tradesperson visiting multiple homes on a daily basis, I make every effort to minimise the risk to all my clients. I continue to test myself weekly for COVID, using lateral flow tests.

If you request it, I am happy to wear a mask at all times in your property while I work. You are of course also welcome to wear your own mask when interacting with me, but I do not require it.

Finally, in the interests of minimising risk, during my work I continue to try to maintain social distance from you, wherever possible and I will refrain from shaking hands. To help me and my more vulnerable clients, where possible, I ask that all rooms I am working in are well ventilated and that any rooms I am working in for extended periods are unoccupied by clients or other tradespeople.

COVID19 Symptoms

In line with the latest NHS guidance, if you or anyone in your household detects any of the following coronavirus symptoms…

  • A high temperature
  • A new, continuous cough
  • A loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste

… you should seek a test for coronavirus. If positive, you are advised to isolate for a minimum of five (5) days until you have had two (2) negative tests on consecutive days.

Clients who are isolating should contact me to reschedule your job at no additional cost. I will also inform you immediately if I am isolating and need to reschedule your job.

Cancellations / Rescheduling

I have adapted my rescheduling/cancellation policy to be as flexible as possible. You may reschedule your job at any time, with no additional charge. You can also cancel your job up to 48 hours before it is scheduled to start and pay nothing (except reimbursement for any materials purchased that I cannot return). Jobs cancelled with less than 48 hours notice pay my first hour charge (see the above link for more details).

High Risk?

If you are at high risk, please do not hesitate to contact me with any further requests of precautions I can take to help you stay safe.
